Mrs. Mojisola Iyabode Sodipo was born into the family of the Otunba Dr. Adekunle Ojora CON OFR JP on the 30th day of June 1954. She attended Holy Child College, Obalende Lagos between 1967 and 1973 and Methodist Girls High School Yaba Lagos for her Higher School Certificate, which she completed in 1975. She was admitted into University of Lagos to study Law and graduated with LLB (Hons) in 1979. Thereafter, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980. She served her National Youth Service Corps at the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1980 and 1981 and thereafter went into Legal Practice. Due to her diligence and dint of hardwork in legal practice, she was appointed a Notary Public for Nigeria in 1996. The first female Law Lecturer in the Department of Law in the School of Management Studies, Kano State Polytechnic, Kano; Mrs. Sodipo was appointed Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Transportation and LASTMA matters between 2005 and 2007. The first legal adviser of the Diocese of Kano. She is a recipient of several Awards which include the Susana Wesley Award by the Woman’s Fellowship, Lagos Mainland Diocese of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, National Patroness of Association of Methodist Brigades 2012. Recipient of the 10th Anniversary of Methodist Church of Nigeria Women fellowship of Kano Awarded for diligence in the Service of God and life Matron Christ Ambassador Society, Christ church Kano Methodist Church Nigeria.


She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the international Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA). Her hobbies include Reading, changing lives for good and current affairs. She is a Legal Practitioner. She is also a Resource Person.

Mrs. Sodipo is happily married with Lovely children and grandchildren.
